What personal data do we collect, and why do we collect it?
We process personal data collected through our Contact Us form and our Order form.
By default the plugin Forminator captures your IP address to prevent spam.
When you fill out our Contact Us form on the webpage https://foodsave.org.uk/contact-us/ , the information you provide is used to process your query or request. We may then use the contact information you provide to follow up on this request.
When you fill out Order Form on the webpage https://foodsave.org.uk/honiton/ , the information you provide is used to process your order, and we use personal information such as your address to deliver your order to you, your phone number to contact you if any issues arise with your order, your email address to confirm that your order has been submitted and to contact you if any issues arise with your order and your name is used as a personal identifier for when you collect your order.
We process personal data under the lawful basis of consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles and/or pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
Your data will not be shared outside of our organisation without you providing prior consent.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Contact us form submissions are held indefinitely so we can look back at previous queries if required and process them at a later date if needed.
Order form submissions are kept for a maximum of 30 days. We keep these for 30 days in case any safety concerns surrounding the food we have given up arise (e.g. an item is recalled), and we need to contact you because of this.
What rights you have over your data
If you filled out a form on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You have the right for any order form or contact us form submissions to be removed from our records. You can exercise this right by emailing us on [email protected].
You have the right to withdraw consent for us to process your data. You can exercise this right by emailing us on [email protected], messaging us on Facebook or talking to a lead volunteer at one of our sessions.
If you have any complaints about how we handle your data, you have the right to raise a complaint with the ICO, and you can raise a complaint through their website: https://ico.org.uk/global/contact-us/
Where your data is sent
Your data is sent through the Google Gmail API as an email to ourselves, which allows us to access the order information easily. It may also be sent in an email to yourself if you have chosen to input your email address into our Order form for a confirmation email.
This is then passed onto a volunteer, who will use the information to pack your order, which then may be given to another volunteer to deliver your order.
As always if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us through our website, email, or Facebook page.
