Foodsave Beer moves to permanent new home

Foodsave Beer has moved - and it’ll make the service even better for all!

Foodsave Beer has moved into a purpose-built section of the Mariners’ Hall as part of its ongoing work to reduce food waste throughout the community.

Every Tuesday, from 12:30pm until supplies run out, anyone in Beer, Branscombe and the surrounding areas can now come along to the village centre location and save surplus food from going to waste.

This marks a major step-up for Foodsave’s newest branch. The new home will provide a stable facility for the long-term, ensuring the continued success of the branch in reducing food waste across the area.

Jake Bonetta, Director of Foodsave CIC, said:

I am so proud of the progress our team in Beer are making, working with the Mariners’ Hall, Parish Council and other stakeholders to secure Foodsave as a community asset well into the future. The entire Foodsave family looks forward to continuing our work in Beer towards making our region truly zero-waste.
